Science at the Stadium

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the north entry to the Georgia Center for Continuing Education across from the Lumpkin Street entrance to the South Campus parking deck.

Dr. Samantha Joye and the ECOGIG ​team will launch their second "Science at the Stadium" event which is a unique, and exciting series of Education and Public Outreach events.  Dr. Joye and several members of ​the ECOGIG research team will be on hand, ​teaching aspiring ocean explorers ​about the Gulf of Mexico!  ​The event will feature an educational video ​about the Gulf and ​small remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) in a water tank that can be operated by children (or young adults). Participants will receive a laminated Pilot’s license​ ​with their name on it.
