Image: Chandler Countryman will be setting sail aboard the R/V Revelle for almost a month to participate in the NASA EXPORTS field campaign! She will be stationed mainly near the Gulf of Alaska. The purpose of the campaign, according to Nasa, is to "develop a predictive understanding of the export and fate of global ocean primary production and its implications for the Earth’s carbon cycle in present and future climates." This is certainly some wonderful research to be doing, and Chandler stated that she was very excited to have this opportunity.
