Image: Our very own Christine Burns has been named as one of 72 finalists selected for the 2019 John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship. Christine will be immersed in the legislative and executive branches of federal government for a year and study a different side of marine science: policy- making. Typically, Christine has been spending her time at the UGA Marine Science Department's Skidaway campus to study historical changes of salt marshes along the east coast of the United States. This is certainly a wonderful opportunity and we are proud to call Christine one of our own! We wish her the very best! You can also view a full list of Knauss Fellowship finalists here.
