Welcome to our Graduate Program The Department of Marine Sciences offers graduate degree programs at the Ph.D.and M.S. levels. We also offer graduate certificates in a wide range of disciplines, including Water Resources as well as Coastal Engineering, and participate in UGA's Integrated Life Sciences program. Students work in the field and laboratory as part of their research programs. Hands-on experience is a key component of the graduate student experience. "We support our graduate students for the duration of their studies. In addition, tuition is waived, medical coverage is subsidized, and both Athens and Savannah have low costs of living compared to most university towns."
