Interim Executive Director of Skidaway Institute of Oceanography Clark Alexander and Professor of the Department of Marine Sciences has been appointed to the board of trustees of the Ossabaw Island Foundation. 

Athens, Ga. – A $1.3 million grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation will allow University of Georgia researchers to uncover answers about an important metabolic link that takes place in the Earth’s oceans.

Interim Executive Director Clark Alexander of Skidaway Institute of Ocean Sciences and Professor of the Department of Marine Sciences has been honored by the coastal environmental group One Hundred Miles as one of the group’s One Hundred Miles 100.
