Caitlin Amos has been awarded the 2018 NASA Earth and Space Science Fellowship (NESSF)! NASA awards this fellowship to graduate students based on the scientific merit and relevance of their proposed research to NASA’s objectives in Earth or space science and their academic excellence.

Chandler Countryman will be setting sail aboard the R/V Revelle for almost a month to participate in the NASA EXPORTS field campaign! She will be stationed mainly near the Gulf of Alaska.

Caitlin Amos had the opportunity to present her research in Barcelona at the Ocean Vector Winds Science Team Meeting in April. According to Caitlin, "My research compared the offshore transport of coastal water in the California Current System due to winds and mesoscale eddies.

The Marine Science department was used as a client for Yen-I Lee's 3510 Public Relations Research course. This effort was spearheaded by our very own Christof Meile in order to evaluate how we can better communicate our awesome program here to everyone else in the academic community!
